This Privacy Policy describes how Splitz Inc. (“Splitz,” “we”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the Splitz Platform, including our website, mobile applications, and financial services. For Splitz Streamz, the Splitz Streamz Privacy Policy also applies.

1. Information We Collect

• Identity and verification data: name, date of birth, address, phone, email, government ID, tax identification number, and information required for KYC/AML compliance.
• Financial data: linked bank account details, transaction history, receivables and contract information you submit for advances, payout and split instructions, and balances.
• Usage and device data: IP address, device identifiers, app interactions, and log data collected automatically, including through cookies and similar technologies.
• Content you provide: agreements, split data, communications, and support requests.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, and improve the Platform, including underwriting advances and processing payments;
• Verify identity and comply with BSA/AML, OFAC, tax, and other legal obligations;
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
• Communicate with you about your account, transactions, and, with your consent where required, marketing;
• Create aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify you.

3. How We Share Information

• Partner Bank and financial infrastructure providers — to provide banking, payment, and advance services.
• Service providers —we share personal information with vendors that perform services on our behalf, including identity verification and fraud prevention providers, bank account connectivity providers, payment processors, cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics providers, communications providers (email and SMS), and customer support platforms. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only to perform services for us.
• Counterparties to your transactions — e.g., collaborators in a split you configure, or payors of receivables we purchase.
• Legal and safety — regulators, law enforcement, or others where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
• Corporate transactions — in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information. 

4. GLBA Notice (Financial Privacy)

Because Splitz provides financial products and services to individuals, certain personal information we collect is nonpublic personal information under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. We share such information only as permitted by law: with service providers, for everyday business purposes (processing transactions, maintaining accounts, responding to legal process), and to prevent fraud. We do not share nonpublic personal information with nonaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect it.

5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, access, correct, and delete personal information we hold about you; the right to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share as defined); the right to limit use of sensitive personal information to permitted purposes; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Note that information collected subject to the GLBA is exempt from the CCPA. To exercise rights, contact Info@splitzapp.co. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may designate an authorized agent to act for you.

6. Security and Retention

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest and multi-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure. We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Platform and to meet legal, regulatory (including BSA recordkeeping), tax, and audit obligations, then delete or de-identify it.

7. Children

The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it.
